Quick update

No pictures tonight- I might have some tomorrow evening, it depends on how the doctor's appointment for Little Bug goes.

He is scheduled to see the adoption specialist at the International adoption clinic. I was told it would be a 2-3 hour visit by the nurse, but friends say it is an all day event. We'll see. They will be drawing blood to check Little Bug's vaccination titers- this will make sure that he is not given extra vaccines he already received in Guatemala and it will check that his vaccine levels are up to United States standards. He will also have a hearing test, vision test and x-rays- along with some other things. All of this will give his primary doctor a baseline to compare to should there be anything that comes up in the future.
I schedule the appointment as early in the day as possible, but I am preparing to pack his lunch and a bottle just in case we are there longer than anticipated.

On top of this worry for me- I pulled a muscle in my back tonight when I got him out of the car. So now I can't pick him up and I can barely walk. Please pray that my back is feeling better tomorrow morning and I make it through the day. Just in case, though, my mom is coming along for the visit (I think she knows that if Little Bug cries during any of the tests, I am going to be crying too).

Well, I am off to get some sleep so I can get up early to do some work before I have to get Little Bug up for his doctor's visit.

Love to you all,
Momma Bug

we took Steven to the same doctor. he had lots of blood drawn but didn't have any x-rays taken. then they checked his body over for different birth marks and played with him to see if he was at his level (like first steps does). And that was it. No hearing or eye exam either. If seemed like all day but i think it was several hours. it did go through lunch for us though. He cried so hard he wore himself out and slept all the way home. The nurses actually held him for the blood tests. Anyway, good luck and let us know how it goes.
