These is being posted on website of many families with children from Guatemala.
Cheri is a member of my yahoo group that I moderate for Long Timers. She and Erin are in PGN with a Kick out that is unbelievable. 30 years ago the mayor of Guatemala City did not sign off on thousands of identity/birth certificates. Now PGN will not allow babies to be adopted unless the mother's identitycard/BC is signed off on by the current mayor. The lawyers working on the case had present an alternative as the birth mothers have had all other legal rights (voting, etc) with no issue. PGN rejected this alternative. There is no end in sight right now for Cheri and Erin as they foster. Would you please consider helping them out?
Operation Lifeboat!"Get the babies out of the boat or make the ship more comfortable!"2 amazing Guatemamas that are literallySTRANDED in GUATEMALA.I present to you the phenonmenal Cheri & Erinand their amazingly beautiful baby girls!Seriously people, they are STRANDED. They left their husbands, families, friends, pets & air-conditioning (and other wonderful comforts) to foster their daughters in Guatemala and they have been STUCK in the middle of a HORRIBLE LEGAL NIGHTMARE for over 6 months and they cannot leave Guatemala. They did not know each other previously but they have been brought together by the exact same problem with their cases and they are fighting for the right to adopt these precious angels.I continue to be AMAZED by their grace, integrity, and perseverance despite being mired in MONTHS and MONTHS of fake waiting....among other things. The babies are quickly approaching their 1st birthdays and Cheri & Erin have NO IDEA WHEN they will be able to return home with their daughters to America. So what can we do????!!!!!!!!!!I'm so glad you asked!!!!Can you imagine the financial burden these families are facing?! Cheri & Erin are making major sacrifices to be apart from their husbands & families and they cannot leave and they are paying rent & utilities & all monthly expenses in Guatemala....not to mention that they are SINGLE MOMS IN A THIRD WORLD COUNTRY! Our goal is pretty simple: We'd love to be able to pay their rent & expenses in Guatemala for at least a month or longer!(They have never asked for help of any kind, but we are going to make them accept our assistance!)Okay, so here is the deal.
