Today, we had plans to meet up with friends at Toddler Otterville- a play area in a toy store. We had never been there although the Single mom group meets there regularly. WE HAD A BLAST!!!!
3 hours of fun playing and Bug was still ready for more. Momma ended up having the melt down in the store- more from sensory overload, but once we left and got back on the road- I was good to go. I would like to say that Bug fell asleep as soon as we left after playing for 3 hours and walking around the store for another hour, but that was not the case- he was out 30 minutes after we got home. Playing with N in the ball pit- he actually got in and he enjoyed. I guess a year older and year longer home means he is ready for these types of adventures.
In the store- playing on the wagons and ride on toys. At this point, he was totally engrossed and momma took the moto- see post below this one- to the front to buy it. So Bug has his moto for Christmas and I am feeling good. I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning. NOTE: N's momma watched the boys play while I paid for the moto
back to playing with trains- we started the day in this room and we finished up here before heading over to the store and the ball pit
The water area. NOTE to self- pack extra clothes for this area- Bug's shirt was soaked even though he had a cover up on. Thankfully I had an extra shirt in my bag, but it was not planned so we could have been in deep trouble. Bug figured out how to put cups of water under the hand dryer and spray water everywhere- we all got a laugh out of that one- until he started just throwing the water up in the air. Of course, the other kids decided to follow his example
Playing with N
Sorting the mail in the play area- he and N had a great time here. the store took the time to address all the letters to various characters and I got a laugh out of reading who the letters were addressed to as Bug handed them to me.
My little Letter carrier
Working the conveyor belt with N. N and his momma found us in this section. The boys played here for an hour and half.
You put the blocks in and then the conveyor takes them to the drop off point and then you have to pull them out again. I ended up being the puller out person so Bug and N could run the conveyor and put the blocks in.
before we left- it was nap time. bug had a 2 hour nap on the couch- so cute and so precious.
We had a great day- this was a fun day. Thanks for inviting us out- N and J- we have to do this again.
Love to you,
Deb

I tell you those two look like they're great pals already!
Too cute and what a cool store! Can they do all those things for free?
