Dear Bug-
It is very late and momma just got back to hotel and finished working, so no pictures tonight. I am missing you very much.
Here is how my day went:
Airplane ride- very good. I read 4 magazines and watched the US go by out my window. I love flying over the American heartland- seeing the shapes of the fields that feed our nation, seeing the rivers, mountains and valleys. It is all so beautiful and is a wonderful tapestry of communities and families. As we fly over, I wonder what the people are doing - I wonder if there are little boys looking up at the sky waving at the airplane just like you do. We live in a wonder country- filled with some many wondrous sights and wonderful people. When I fly over and look down, I wonder if this is how God sees us all- one big, beautiful tapestry.
The plane arrived in Denver early, so I made it to the hotel in time to go to dinner with the group. Flying into Denver is so cool- the mountains ring the plain that Denver sits on and you come down through the clouds into a city that sits right up against the clouds- the sunset was happening as we came in and the sky was orange and pink and yellow.
Dinner was nice- I talked to co workers from VA and FL and some team members from Boston. It was nice, we talked about work, family life, changes in our industry and things like that. Momma was missing you a lot and I ate way too much for dinner, so I will have to be good tomorrow. I had some chocolate ice cream (gelato) for dessert- it was nice.
Now I am back in the hotel room waiting for the hotel staff to come and determine why I do not have hot water- I have been told that I need to run the water for 5-15 minutes. I have done 5 minutes 4 times now and still no hot water. I hate running the water like this- it seems very wasteful.
The hotel is nice- they had a chocolate cover strawberry in my room for me when I first arrived. A police car just went by outside and it was very loud- this is not a good sign for a good night's sleep. Aside from the hot water and noise from the street- it is a nice hotel.
I should go to bed now (expect I have to wait for the hotel staff and the hot water) since I have meeting starting at 7 am (9 am home time) .
I love you lots - te amo- night night and sweet dreams.
Momma
