trains, trains and kitties

It was a busy weekend- preparing for the huge Thanksgiving festivities this week meant we had to get things done this weekend.

Little Bug and Pap enjoying a post dinner rock on the front porch of a favorite place to eat -Cracker Barrel!!! Little Bug loves that there are rocking chairs his size.

Before going to Cracker Barrel, we went to the first train display of the holiday season. This was nice and close to our house and most importantly- FREE!!!!! This is the fire house that was in the display- Little Bug is pointing out that the fire truck is coming out.
The steam locomotive going by
The coal train
Little Bug and Pap enjoying the city scape and the old time cars- my dad was in his glory pointing out all the 50s and 60s items in the display.
Watching with Momma

The Kitties have appeared- this is Rogue. She is the more adventurous and noisy of the 2 cats.
This is Snickers- yes named for the candy bar- she is a scared cat- we have seen her 3 times- always in Uncle Dave's arms.
On Saturday, the single moms were supposed to come over and scrapbook. it turned into Little Bug and Y playing while T, N, and I talked. N. is still waiting to bring her son home and hopefully it will be soon. She is leaving soon for another visit. There are some toys that Little Bug no longer plays with that will be perfect for her son. So we are passing them on.
Little Bug and Y fighting over the car- whatever one was playing with, the other one wanted.
Little Bug definitely likes Uncle Dave's coffee table- it is the perfect height for climbing on and for giving momma heart failure as she things about the possible injuries.
Little Bug is doing great. It is hard to believe that in 2 weeks, he will be home for 6 months. While is continues to be a rough time on some fronts, on more fronts, I see how we are more and more a family. I see how more and more his real personality is coming it out, I see more and more how our bond is growing and we are moving into dealing with normal toddler behavior and not so much of grieving/attachment issues.
I know that we still have trials ahead- but they are more the normal items that every parent deals with and for that I am glad.
This week should be busy with the Thanksgiving holiday. I am sure I will post on Friday- but it might be hard before then. For each of you, I wish you a week filled with Thanksgiving no matter where you are located and what you believe.
Love to you,
Momma Bug
