We went to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo- How about You, You, You?

Wednesday night is usually swimming night. We head over to the pool by Y's house and the toddlers have "swim" lessons while the mommas hold them. but, apparently last week was the last class for this session, so I decided to take Little Bug out to the Zoo to see the lights.

We got there right as it got dark and had a wonderful time. Ignore my pasty white skin (it gets whiter in the winter) and my messy hair- it was a long day and I was not prepared for the trip out with the camera.

We waited for Y at one of the entrances and there was a huge decorated tree with trains around the bottom. I wanted to set Little Bug in the sled that was set up, but that would have cost me a professional picture. So off to the side is where most parents were posing their kids.
Y arrived and the tots were styling in their strollers and hand made blankets. Y's momma made hers at my house last year and Little Bug's was gift from our dear friend Pam (he loves it!!!).
We conned some bystander into taking our picture- me, Little Bug, Y, her momma T and T's co-worker J (from Costa Rica). J was snapping pictures left and right. he is up here for 2 weeks, his first trip to the US. He got to experience snow last week - lucky him.
Little Bug on the train with Momma peaking out from behind. Little Bug wanted the train to go, go, go.
Pictures of some of the lights from the train (it is supposed to be this blurry)

More blurry lights
After the train, we headed to the children's zoo to see some animals close up. We had seen the polar bears earlier- but they were sleeping. Most of the animals are inside due to the cold weather and that means I have to take Little Bug out of the stroller at each exhibit and leave the stroller outside. So it is too much of a hassle in the winter with coats and gloves and hats. So we stayed outside.
Little Bug in front of the train display - taken without the flash so you can see the lights.
This next picture has nothing to do with the zoo or the lights. This is my nephew this week. Apparently he lost a wager (bet) with friends and he had to dye his hair PINK!!! The word from my sister is that his hair will be like this on Christmas and Christmas Eve. Somehow I don't think J is going to like what his Pap has to say. What possess teenagers to do these types of things? I am thinking that J needs to see Pap before Christmas Eve so the rest of us don't have to listen to the lecture too.

Well it was a late night for Little Bug- we got home just after 9 pm and he got to bed around 9:30. We have a Christmas party tomorrow night (Santa is coming) and it will be another late night for him.
Love to you,
Deb AKA Momma Bug
