Last day as a 2 year old

This is it, Bug's last night as a 2 year old. It is so hard to believe that he has been home 15 months now, that I have watched him go from a baby entering toddlerhood to a toddler becoming a little boy. It is beyond incredible and it has been exhausting.

Here is Bug sleeping on the couch from the other night (the night of our "scare').
Tonight was the last night of gymnastics. Only one other toddler was there, S. She lives close to us and we will be getting together for fun this fall.
They are enjoying fruit snacks that the coaches brought to share.
S brought a birthday gift for Bug- CARS items- the race cars line up and then by pressing a button, they race. Bug was so excited to play. I let him stay up later to play (and eat dinner).

here is class- notice, there are 4 adults and 2 toddlers.

Bug rolling down the incline. he basically attempts to flip and then rolls in the most awkward way possible.
Going for a ride on the parachute on the incline.

A few weeks ago, Bug saw the class before us do "superman"- feet on the wall, hands on the floor- beginning moves of a hand stand- he started doing it all on his own. The coaches are impressed that he got the motions down

Balance Beam toddler style- one foot on, one foot off. Too cute!!!!!

Just immediate family on Friday night for Bug's birthday. I think Bug is clueless about what is coming. he gets Christmas and getting gifts then, but all the birthdays he has seen since coming home (excluding his birthday last year), just involve dinner and birthday cards. None of us big folks get presents. I think he has no idea that there will be gifts for him to open after we sing to him. I can't wait to see his face.

in September, I am hosting a play date for his friends, we'll go to the park, I'll bring cupcakes and the kids will play- no presents, just fun with friends.

I made the reservations for our trip back to Guatemala. I am so excited, the dates changed slightly, but it is still going to be great.

Love and hugs to you all,
Deb
